g'day blokes, name is thommo, i've wandered over here as a last resort chasing some bits and pieces for one of my bikes.
i'm from central qld, have 3 bikes, a 600 bandit with over 200K on the clock ( and what i'm chasing bits for), an fjr1300 more commonly known as the roadtrain, and a recently acquired postie bike that really deserves some tweaking like some rearsets, clipons...
i usually don't ride with many people, the bloke who owns this is about the only bloke who i ride with, and spend most of my time either chasing him or him chasing me.

the roadtrain ( yeah i know it has fairings and fairings are for pooftas) always said if i bin it bad enough the farings would never go back on. 130K on it so far

the 600 with fairings and the bike i'm chasing bits for.

while away over new years, a violent storm ripped thru the place and and damn near half a tree smashed into it.
it needs a new front end and a rear shock, so the crap hanging off the front is not going back on. i'm chasing a 92-95 gsxr 750 front end and shock and teh candy paintwork will become either black or a gunmetal colour. the bike is currently sitting on th ebench with no front end and no rear end in it. i'll wander over to the for sale and wanted areas shortly and post up what i'm looking for.

cheers blokes

Hi and welcome thommo

Anyone who was at the MotoGP last year might remember that roadtrain parked on the main street of Cowes on the night of the horror bus ride

Welcome

several roos have done that, and things didn't end well for them. there's still scratch marks on the tank where one got flicked around and his tail gave my ribs a good touch up before hitting the tank. my ribs hurt for a week after that.

Gremlins are all sorted mate.

Thommo should fit right in around here. He's a pretty handy fabricator. I've told him in the past that he's got so much shit hanging off that FJR that it's worth more at Sims metal than at the bike shop.

He's not bad with a spray gun either. He is responsible for this

yeah mate, it is indeed a towbar, i fitted that up to it in... err... 01? or was it 99... umm.. beats me, it's done a few miles with the trailer behind it anyhow. on the stok gearing it wouldn't pull any more than about 125, so a bit of fiddling with sprockets and it'll now pull thru to about 170ish. not to shabby for a 600
