I'm over 40 and online games are part of my Friday night fix. I few Bourbs then jump into a server. Cheap as and I don't have to bum a lift home.

Yep, it's a BF2 mod (modified game) so you need Battlefield 2 to run it off the back of. The mod will cost nothing but BF2 may cost $10-$20.

Yeah you need full BF2 but its bargain basement now... Project Reality is great because its much more teamwork based. Everyone uses a mic and you need to work together or you just get nowhere. Its a totally different game to BF2

I'm too busy p0wning zombies on my friday nights. Call of duty world at war. Something deeply satisfy about popping the head of a jap zombie. Very much about team tactics tho...

fuckers now ur talkin my language.
I sold both COD4 - COD5. It was fun for a bit (especially "Death from above" cod4, I was like.. no friggin way this is rad)
But its the type of game where u can just sticky tape the fire button down, leave the gun pointed in one spot and the bad guys keep respawing and running to the same spot. its more or less dependant on how hard you can push (sp) up to the next checkpoint, or how fast. I like my games where if a bad guy is dead, he stays dead. not just random respawns unless its MP I guess.
Online COD is also really gumby compared to the fast/free flowness of Battlefield (ESPECIALLY BAD COMPANY. that is my fav online game atm) That and all I ever fucking do online is respawn DIE - respawnDIE - re-DIEDIEDIEDIE!

Project reality, I did hear about that but because I only have a laptop and my super dooper pc has been dead for ever. I avoid getting excited about wicked pc games cause I get depressed that I can't play them.

I'm looking forward to MAG when it comes out support for 256 players at once.. FACK!

Half life series and all that is VALVE - my religion, and I want a petition to go round to have it recognised on the next census.
Battlefield series, from 1942 -> now - totally rad.
Anything CRYTEK (far cry, crysis etc) - wickedness, absolute visual and gaming physics porn.
OPERATION FLASHPOINT - My total fav, online with a joystick to control choppers. I was nuts at it, and it was an interesting game when it was one shot to the vitals and ur down.

Old school Quake, never really got into it. mostly cause wen i had to play it it was at a mates house and they damn well used the numpad controls and was too retarded to change the controller bindings(and cause it wasnt my pc), Due to HL I'm strictly WSAD no fuckin around.
Veitcong - good online game
Ps3 game I found called brothers in arms, hells highway - actually quite a good game, u can control a squad in first person view, and the key to most attacks on enemy positions is to suppress/pin them down, outflank etc. pretty tactical and makes it fun.. also like the random slow mo bullet cam on headhots thats cool as.

RTS games - C&C series, starcraft, Total annihilation (way ahead of its time)And I recently found a 3d mod for it.

COMPANY OF HEROES <- amazing ww2 squad based rts with insane animations and sounds. and the AI is unbelievable
the ingame cover system is cool, and the artillery...
this is definately a must play for ww2 and rts fans
artillery, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F95BJzq78Es (rarrghh haha love it)
machine gunner short vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtKyt9XscqM
detail vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtXW63Kqu2c

Damn I miss the old days. Anyone remember one of the pioneers of multi vehicle multiplayer games called WARGASM? one of the first games where you could look independent of where you were running.

I'd go on but i need my inhaler

Im still obsessed with Deus Ex! Thats pretty much the sickest RPG I'v ever played! Very tactics based, with heaps of different paths to take to reach an eventual goal. Ur not forced to fit a mold designed by the creators so much, u can run around doing pretty much whatever u like & when u kill someone they stay dwn! I am now a master with a sniper rifle & the proximity mine! ;)

Ahh Total annihilation, many many hours spent on that, and TA: Kingdoms.

I love BF 2 online, I like special forces, but it will not let me use my good sniper rifle on it, only get to used the stocko one or the 50 cal.

BF 2142 good also online.

I might just have to try project reality, but I do not have a mic.

If you have good internet, go grab urself a ps3.
bring it home, wire it straight to your modem/router. wham ur online and for FREEE (fuck xbox live)
Then choose your game, alot of popular pc games in heaps of genres are on ps3. nearly all have voice (buy a usb headset) so you can tell 12yo kids to shut the fuck up and fuck off while constantly running them over (example Grand theft auto)or just "pick on the guy who can't speak english"
Also the ps3 is blu ray... helps if you have a 1080p/hdmi LCD to play it all on.

I have got it set up so I have all my movies on my laptop, streaming wirelesly to the playstation, so i can watch them on the big tv without plugging anything into it, laptop is in another room.

Doc, download "Steam" to get Left4Dead. Steam is like an online shop front. You can buy that game and loads of others with it and it'll install it for you and away you go. Easy and it's cheaper then buying in a physical store.

After you've downloaded it, back it up to DVD so you can reload it if you reformat or some such or just want a hard copy.

Steam - http://store.steampowered.com/

It's how I buy all my games these days. Prices are US. Every now and then over the weekend, Steam have specials on certain games or they sell a package deal. That's what you keep an eye out for. Can get some games for half price if you wait enough.

u played bad company? same engine, just 100 times more fun (I think)
Pretty cool wen I first played the online ps3 demo I thought AHAAA fuckers, can't get me in a building in a tank. PAPAOOOW!! big effing hole in the wall infront of me and a tank pointing right at me.

Thing I liked about bf2 was how you can appoint someone a commander who can hide in a building and sus out the map grid for artillery strikes etc.
