Spring Steel Wire ?

Does anyone know where i can get some very thin wire I can bend into like a clothes peg style spring ? . I have lost one of the springs for my gt filler caps and they cant be bought.............

It will have to be about 1mm round and able to spring back obviously. I have tried the springs from radio control car motors but while they look right they dont have the "spring tension" required and arent long enuf anyway...

This may be a bit small of a job, picture the spring off a normal clothes peg now halve the size and make it from 1mm wire.........

Rimfire redo springs for me for drum brake sets 'shoes' on old classics i get to rebuild.... he will make anything and actually its quite reasonable

Go to a Dental Technician Laboratory. If you go to one that does orthodontics I am sure they will just give you a piece, they may even bend it for you as they have special bending pliers. Worth a try.
