I have just found ( via another forum) a warning about ebay scamming. Basically if you want to show someone on here an item just put the item number up.
If you put up a link, which someone uses, and then 'watches' it in their ebay they could be allowing someone access to their account.
Apparently this has happened to a few people in the uk. Scammers 'steal' their identities and post loads of sales, take the money and leave you to sort out the mess.
Official ebay advice ...DO NOT POST LINKS

I don't know but I have had my account suspended in the past 'cos someone stole my id and posted a load of camers. Ebay spotted it and froze the acc.

The mother in law had the same thing happen, but they were selling mobile phones.

From what I've managed to find out the scammer puts up an incredible deal (anything from a phone to a car....) that is just too good to miss. People then watch it and pass it on.

Watch out for the scammers selling late model bikes way under price. The sellers are always in the United States but the bikes are supposedly in Oz.
2 examples are: item 260048602552 & 250045479868

It goes something like this, from what I can tell from others.
You get sent a link from a friend.
You click on it and go to the item.
If your pc is set up to remember your ebay password and login you click watch the item, without entering you details.
The bug is contained in the item somehow and thats how they get you.
By logging in through ebay.com.au and then entering the item number you get protected by ebays system.

Tip number one. Never get your computer to remember passwords for anything connected to your bank or credit card details - ever!
