Ok I thought I would throw this up for discussion .. Say you have change your forks, swing arm, suspension, sub frame and a bunch of minor mods like pods and jet kits. But the engine and main frame are still original .. Is there anyone on the planet that would be willing to insure you .. or is it a case of .. you broke it .. you fix it ?

I tried Shannons the other day - wouldn't insure me cos I ride too often (they only really cover weekend riders).

If that's suits you then they are definitely worth a look for modified bikes/cars.

I ride everyday. Did you tell QBE that you modded the hell out of your bike ?

QBE, tell them everything and they wont have a problem, lie to them and tell them you got it quoted $200 cheaper somewhere else too, they always match it.

Yeah, I told them all of the current mods, and they were happy to insure it as my daily ride. And at 400 odd bucks a year, comprehensive, they can't be beat.

Shannons, all mods declared and the guy admitted they cannot enforce the 'weekend/low annual mileage use' as they don't ask for a odometer reading...so no way of knowing how many K's you have done in a year.
