Definitely shocked in the UK! I don't bother reading alot of bike mags these days but I just picked up this months copy of Streetfighters mag and on flicking through spied a familiar face, one that I aint seen in many years! I gather that he goes by a name like Billy Whizz or summat like that, he's put on a few pounds since I last saw him too so if I saw him in the pub I'd probably call him Five-Bellys so I'll see if he can work out who I am ;)
Anyway Congrats on getting yer bike featured and damn smart it looks too :)

Certainly did work in Fords, it was almost obligatory when you grew up there! On the map it might say that Dagenham is in Essex and we were also a London borough but as far as we were concerned we weren't Essex boys or Cockneys but a part of Dagenham Free State ;):D

I worked in the body plant new tool room up till about 84. I was a long haired yob who rode a slightly tatty Ducati 900 with mega-loud pipes, if you were there then you might have seen me!

ha ha I remember those t-shirts, they didn't like the ones that said "fraud" either :D
I used to know a guy called Al Bradford there who raced 2CVs, dunno if it's the same guy though as he worked in the river plant when I knew him.

ten bellys :D:D When we used to drink together he used to rip the piss out of my mate Martyn for being a bit of a porker so that's a bit of karma getting back at him, not that I can say alot as I've put on a couple of stone since then too ;)
If you see him again do us a favour and point him at this thread, I haven't heard from him in years so it'd be good to catch up again.
