So i recently grabbed a two for 1 deal off a mate of my Large's

First is the bike ive always wanted and after telling large he needed to give me his and his constant fuck off, he then mentioned a mate of his might like to unload his Katana

Its a long term project but its all there, not running above 5 grand leaks oil from various places but im told it has got a good engine [:0] just its been neglected for what looks like at least 5 years with all the grime siezed calipers leaking shocks etc etc etc...The gold plating was the deal clincher for me

It will take a while and im not sure of the colour it will be (silvers so 80's;) ) but ill get it back on the road ... one day

Second bike which i initially wasnt fussed on but have grown to like is a 87 GSXR 1100

Yeah i know too much plastic but i like it, its all there and im slowly doing the rebuild. Have just rebuilt the rear end replacing all the bearings, overhauling the rear caliper and replacing a 3mm thick (or is that thin) brake disc, overhauled the Ohlins rear shock and fitted it with new beefier rated spring as the old owner would have been lucky to be 70 kilos and im 145 :( some of the plastics are being repaired and painted at the moment ...

So time and finances willing ill have a couple of decent bikes OK Ok they arent streetfighters but that will come from the right pallet bike at some stage but ATM looking for a little bike for a budget cafe racer project, maybe not too little :D

So, are you larger than large or is large the largest and if you are larger than large then why aren't you larger large, large should be little large if he isn't so large.

You need a work stand, its easier to work on them if you do.

Lucas That makes me well i dunno ... im less rotund :D

Cbrrrrt yeah they are, just done a loop on the gixxer around Tamborine and she's a good old girl, handles a lot better with the rear shock set up right the kat i could look at all day, which at the moment is all i can do

Large i believe that is the real thing 14k gold plating on triples mounts carby bowls and tops and a few other places. what your mate had in mind i dunno [xx(]It wad rad in the 90's im sure

Tony shh dont mention those wire wheels when large is around ;) he has some story that purports them to be his

Swap the engines around [:p]
The Kat will go heaps faster & handle better with the oil cooled lump & the Gixer is a steaming pile so nobody gives a fuck anyway ;)
I bought a Katana off Rich a couple of years ago & he said it came with wire wheels [u]as part of the deal</u> but he hadta get 'em back off his mate who he'd lent 'em to for his green Kat with gold plating...
so I'll be there to pick 'em up soon.

All bullshit aside though, put the Gix moteur, frontend & wheels in the Kat & you'll have a hotrod STREETFIGHTER for a weekends work & a few bucks in wheel spacers & a stem swap.
