like say to fit a big fat 17" by 200 wide tyre with a standard width 17 on the front?

just trying to compare it up against spokes etc

or even a set of solids to suit the TW200 style tyres

anyone know?

Seen a couple in the UK using polished alloy
that fitted over the standard wheel (behind the disk)
Was well made and the two sides bolted together around
the rim like split-rim's. Looked different.
Similar to the Harley Fat<s>Bastard</s>Boy
Would work on a 6" Suzuki rim / 200 tyre.

yeah, i love the look of the TW wheels
and the bike i saw in japan really were cool!

but the tyre costs.... [:O]
could buy wide diablos for that much...

i looked up the judge thread and ben said about $3500-$4000 back then

the other alternative is spoked wheels on custom hubs (which i could design up)
but how wide do they rims for the spoked wheels?

hmm

I know http://www.acww.com.au/ do 6" to 10" wide rim's
for car's. Not sure if they are suitable for bikes ?
Suppose it depends on the amount of spokes, the offset,
and how the tyre sits although im sure Ben uses alloy car rims ?
