speedo problemo

hey guys, got a bit of a problem with my speedo and was wondering if any of you guys have ever had a similar problem or if ive just done something retarded.

my digital speedo on the acewell gauge reads my speed correctly from 0 to around 65km/h then suddenly jumps to around 120km/h and goes up from there. its really strange
the magnet sensor is 5mm away from the magnet (like the book said) and the wire runs down with the old speedo wires which i cut to stop its signal.

any help would be appreciated as this is driving me insane when i am doing the speed limit haha

Sounds like the sensor is mounted wrong,post up a pic of it would ya.

Should look like this with the magnet passing the end of the sensor , not the face that says sensor, & it needs to line up with one of the lines not between them.

mines facing vertical and the magnet passes both of the lines, is that the problem i might just make a bracket like yours and see if it runs better
