It would be a straight through type with a good amount of sound absorbing stuff between the hot gases and the outer shell.
I'm guessing it should be ok ????
Anyone know what heat p/c can take ??

There are some specialised coatings that can be used on exhausts . Normal powder coat is not one of them. Engine casings rarely get hotter than 120 degrees . An exhaust can go as hot as 400 degrees . Powder can't take anywhere near that without melting . Ceramic coating is one alternate option and there are several other types too . There are some types of high temp powder coatings but these are hard to locate , are expensive and very specialised .
