Planning on getting an SV1000N

As soon as I get rid of the Capri(in the bikes for sale forum- Lucas stared it for me) and the XT600 motard I'll be getting an SV1000n off a mate. It has 2300kms on the clock, is an '07 model , dark blue, Micron cans(the multi coloured ones- a bit to colourful for me but they sound fucking tops), fender eliminator and a few other bits.

Does anyone know if there are any problems with these bikes that I should look out for? I have heard the rear shocks are shit and an easy fix is dropping in a gsxr1000 item.
