A heads up

www.fowles.com.au

5 pages of bikes in brissy, with hail or flood damage, there is a ducati 748 with no bodywork on the last page that sounds like it would make a good fighter.

auctions on tuesday and wednesday next week

i have no chance of making it for a look :(

here is a link. I think fowles is just hardware type stuff, this is where you want to look:

QLD BIKES (http://www.manheimfowles.com.au/find_buy/power_search/index.mpl?tab=make&stream=Recreation&vehicle_type_desc=Bikes&model=&rm=view_results&state=Queensland)

Yeah shit loads of bikes, alot are hail/flood damaged. Lots of 0 mileage still on the crate bikes. Even a 88 GSXR750 there, which should go for only a few hundred bucks. Im there, just gotta get my credit card back off my Mrs somehow.

I would go and spend my new bike funds there, but I don't think I will get a deal as good as I have lined up.

Good luck ozkat.

Cost me $400 from Fergusons transport to bring a gsxr 1k from Brissy to Shep last week .

I was wondering how much a limited edition duc may go for

Try Mark at "The bike movers" they are a bit cheaper, I use them all the time.

I've heard an ad for this on MMM about 4 times so far today so I think there might be quite a few people there.

No Busa's....:(
No B-King's..:(
...but I did spot a GSX14 listed....might be worth a look.
Im only working about 2k's down the same road just past "The Pink".

Gotta be careful with flood damage, might get more problems than you bargain for. ie wiring, modules, rusted rings to nicosol bores that are part of engine cases etc. etc.
A lot of these will be out of Mackay/Townsville recently. Sense danger if they have no visible damage, they've probably had a swim.

Had a look at the website - they are listed as running, non-running and salvage by the lot numbers. Some of the pics of the running bikes have the lights on and the tacho on 1500 so they must have been running when they took the pics.

Anyway I'm going to pop out there on Monday to have a look - I'll let you guys know what looks OK ;)

I went with a bloke from my work (he was after a Hardley[xx(] ) - but there were a zillion people there so we pissed off.

We got there after 11AM and they were still going through the cars - I guess it would've been about 1PM before they got to the bikes[?]

I went pretty early.
Spotted 2 black GSX14's, a Mk2 Busa and an early B12.

LOTS of folk there, pissing down with rain,
and I was already soaked through from work.

Didn't stay around either.
Would have needed to be a day out,
or be better organised than me and know what time to be there.
