Just throwing this out there.

http://www.westcoastsafaris.com.au/Articles/tours/1dayBV.htm

Anyone interested in a one day safari ?
Bikes are 250cc dirty's so won't scare anyone too much.

I am waiting for more details but the rough plan would be
1, Drive to kirup early Saturday AM.
2, Do the Trail Ride around the Blackwood in the mud and the rain.
3, Drag our tired arses to Bunbury or Bridgetown saturday evening
4, Get pissed, stay in a hotel
5, Drive back to Perth at our leisure on Sunday

Maybe do a two day tour a bit later if this works out allright.

anyone interested ?
I need to find out about riding gear and whether they can supply it if you dont have your own trail riding gear.

Would be in the next couple of months so hopefully it'll be wet and cold.
I'll get some numbers, see what price we can get, pick a few dates and see which one we'll get the most people.

Interested so far.... Note, you need to have a license (Tom !!!, I guess we could be your shadows) and if you bring your own bike it needs to be rego'd.

Fuck almost considered it until I saw the Vids.

I'm a bad enough street rider without busting myself up on this sort of stuff.

Looks like damn good fun if you know what you are doing!!

Jeez Jake ! I haven't even put up a date and you're double booked !

The next available one day Blackwood ride is July 31, i'm confirming availability of spots.
This is apparently not for inexperienced dirt bike riders.
There will be logs, river crossings and other stuff so if you're not a trail rider, they recommend doing a beginners ride instead.

Hire bikes come with lid, goggles and gloves, you can hire riding clothes as well for an additional $20.
You would need to give sizes early to get clothes booked for you.

A deposit of $50 is required to ensure your place on the ride for the one day.

We will be required to be onsite by 8am which means a bloody early start on Sat morning, or staying in bunno the night before.

So, who's man enough and who can wait for July 31 ?
