Am considering what tyres to put on the Streetfighter and one shop recommended Shinko 003 Stealth tyres for front and rear.

These are a soft compound however unsure if they would be suitable for riding when wet

Has anyone used these tyres in the past, or have any knowedge of them.

Thanks

I got 23,000 on mine in all conditions on a ZZR1100. I recon I could launch harder on them then my pilots, but the pilots turn into corners easier.

Thanks Issues.
I had heard that they do not change direction well and you have to work harder to get the bike from left to right.
Looking at the ultrasoft for the front and soft (normal) for the rear.
If you had the choice, would you put them on again or go to the pilots.

There ok
mates had them on there trackbikes for a while, not as sticky as a good street/race tire but not as $$$ either,
if you want a fairly good tire at a great price thats it
Just be aware of different profiles available, 180 and 190 are drag tires and fairly flat profile, 200 are more suited to corners .

I had the ultra softs.

Interesting Greg, it was a flatter tyre (180 rear) then the pilot.

I got the pilots because no one had shinko's locally, the pilots are proberly a more comfortable daily tyre though.

The shinko's were good value, I would get another set but not for a daily bike, hard to say, if the pilots got overly expensive I might go back to the shinkos again.

Thanks for the input guys.

They would have been the 180's so have decided not to get them.

Think it will be the pilots for me.

They were pretty thin and scary in the wet. Front had no side tread left.

Its my daily so doesn't get pushed real hard.

i usualy run michelin 2ct and i got my last set for only $480 and the old man likes his old battalax tyres we get decent mileage from either but for my style of rideing i find the 2ct give that little extra and in cornering realy pull u into it.
