Well, now about the project concept, its budget and everything else that may come into my head :)
Firstly I planned it as a dragster LOOKING bike, four bike carbs, a shortened distibutor, modified oil system... But time went by, and looks like I've grown off the old pants... Reputation! [}:)]
Bullshit, I actually hated to build just a bike "looking like " a dragster, but had no means, nor "know-how", now gathering both.
So, it's gonna be a drag race-only application, no remorse for the engine, they are lying around in plenty and free :); a bigger turbine, apparently IHI RHB5, or even still bigger (hey Carl, you should have never told me, you had one, go and hide it in the shed :D:D:D), of couse, converted to efi and edis (I've got 2 bloody trigger wheels, shouldn't I use one at least? - for the Naglfar I'll use a different way ;))
I have already bought an intercooler and cut its core out, as I always do (for the second time, in fact [8D]) Bought it for around $20-25, though overcharged on shipping... Well, it's me coming along to the budget...
Yep, the bike is on the very tight budget, the front end has already costed me appr. $1000, so another $1000 is all I can afford, just out of principle [}:)]
So gonna use the second hand turbine, praps, a steel home-made intake and a steel exhaust (not to pay to a welder, and I've got only MIG), no alloy, no titanium, all the machinery's already made, 'cept for the engine, it's gonna be bored off from 76 to 79 mm, that's also included into the sum. Also planning to save on a wide band O2 sensor, using one for mapping from the Naglfar, gonna use the Megasquirt II (another one, sure :)) for the ecu, praps water injection from the Naglfar, if it's not a must there, still having helluva pipes for the I.C. plumbing, so what else? Injectors? Another $200, still on budget. And I've already got a lappie and a palmie, cables and stuff (just need to learn to play it ;))
Got no idea, how much I can reap off the 1300 cc air-cooled V4, but they blow "beetles" up to 600+
