Just found this site while looking for 87 GPZ600R fighter projects.
I'm a total newbie at this..Just bought myself a nice 95% restored gpz which will be the black licence upgrade from my current vt250 spada.
very impressed with the work I see here and hoping you guys can give me some good tips and pointers.

here's a pic of the the bike, came with an almost complete spare bike so plenty of spares if needed. I'm chasing a new fuel tank lid with key and the stock rear end is bloody ugly so I think thats going to need replacing...does anything off the shelf fit this without too much hassle?

looking forward to browsing around and maybe catching up on a few SE Qld rides

cheers

Welcome, fella and if you shorten that rear, it will work. May be the only "light job" you can do on it.

Hey all and thanks for the welcome...Been doing a little work on the 600 and would like any opinions....good or bad

I'm on a tight budget atm but have been playing around with cheap matt black to do a mockup...trying to figure out a way to cut up the headlight fairing to get it looking ok...I'm not 100% happy yet, it looks ok on certain angles and sh*te on others...although it might be ok just to get the roadworthy done.

Also thinking of placing flush mount indicators either side of rear end tail light when the mudguard gets binned.

any thoughts??

Well you could start by repainting the walls ,that colour's terrible. Cut that extention off your sidestand and put some porn or bike racing on the telly. :D

The fairing needs to be cut where the crease is to look any good, but I'm guessing the headlight mounting frame is right whre the indicator mounts are. Am I right?

Lol..thanks mate but the bike painting takes precedence over the walls for the time being..:D

Almost right, directly behind the indicator mounts is the where the fairing bolts onto the big ugly black frame thing..but I think I can work around it.

Ok back to the saw it is..nothing ventured nothing gained..hehe
