G'day all,

My old man needs a new speedo & tacho for his Honda. He's not overly concerned about originality, so a known "bolt on" alternative suggestion is also welcomed.

Yeah, funny that... he was coping ok with the broken needles but one of the pieces has lodged in the odometer gearing and without a fuel guage he can no longer tell how long he's got before running dry :(

that would be why the fuel tap has 3 settings. on, off, reserve

Yeah, we tried that.

This is a bit of a project for him and one of the other things he's had on order is a new fuel tap, the current one must have been designed by ducati or something as he gets precisely 1.5Kms out of reserve. :O

This is whats left of my dads bike, its been sitting like this for nearly 8 years now, i think the dash is stuffed.
I'l ask what he wants to do, i'l let you know asap.

ive got a cb 750kz tank here u can have if the taps any good i know it fits abol dor got a chrome headlamp that will fit that too for 30 bucks

Hey Juzzy i had my needle and the gears replaced in the speedo on my Trumpy for about 200 bucks got it done in Dandenong and was done in a few days;)

STELF: A bit more than he's willing to pay, but if he must then he will probably bite the bullet eventually...

As I said earlier, he's not concerned about original. Does anyone have any other ideas for him?
