Does the 1990 <s>shitheap</s> GSXR 1100 have USD or RWU forks? I know the 750 L did, but there seems to be some confusion as to weather the 1100 first had 'em in '90 or '91. I'm thinking of buying one to use the engine as a starter motor for my KAWASAKI ZX9R & might put the front end in my Katana if it's USD.
Yeah Yeah, I know, just ask the guy selling it [^] I did, but he doesn't know his arse from his elbow & I haven't seen the bike yet (it's in Tasmania you see)

90 model = L = rsu
91 model = M = usd

Didn't the rest of the world go USD on the 90 L model?

To further confuse things, I think some L-models into WA had USD.

i think that the comfusion arises from the point that new model bikes don't come out in january but later in the year so hence the L and M model thing
Im not sure of the rest of the world or WA bught my first new bike in early 91 which was an L model with rsu forks, ( if i had waited for the M model i proberly would have spent my money on something else and no gotten a new bike )

Yeah God is on the money Turbo AUS 90 1100 L had RWU and the one i HAD was an import from germany and ran USD so if its an Aussie L they are conventional. All 91 models had USD n would be tops on the Kat. Kev Katana had em on his i think.

Yea, I would have said '90 L was the first year, but then again I was in England at the time so I'm not going mad.

91' model was first of the USD and the last of the oil cooled......anything after and including the 10th month of build in that year is considered nxt years Model......

My 'M' model is stamped 10/1990 but its a 91' model with the USD forks and oil cooler.

Thats why u'll find the New K7 Gixers 600 & 750's in the showrooms as we speak, just landed 2day.

I thought it was the L 750 that had USD's, and the L 1100 had RSU's.
From my [extremely] limited knowledge, wasn't it the 750's were a year ahead, meaning the 1100's got what the 750's had a year later?
