changed the reg/rectifier on the blade
as it was shorting to the frame
but now all the earths{h/light and indicator's}have power running through them.going to rip it
but if anyone has any advise before i do this.

ps.bike will start but with everything else
live nothing will work.could be a simple fix
but not sure where to start at the mo.

Ok i have now changed the loom,
switch gear and cdi
i also have removed the rectifier
and unplugged the generator also unplugged
everything that is on the bike one by one
and still doing the fooking same thing
the earth's are live.can't think
of what's next to do
any idea's?????

Earths are live?
I take that to mean you have volts on them, which shouldn't be, obviously.
Check connections between battery -ve and chassis. Look for corrossion, paint, shitty connections in loom, etc.
Have you tried putting a jumper or replacement wire between battery -ve and chassis just to test?

thats what i mean livewire that there are volts
on them.
i have replaced the earth to the battery and no joy.
the only thing i haven't changed on the bike is the
ignition which i'm going to do tomorrow.
Also have noticed that if i turn off the run stop
switch that the main{green wire to the frame} earth wire is no longer live
but all the rest still are.i have changed the switch
gear are still no joy.

Sorry lads i should have
said what is was.
it ended up bad earths on the bike
had to clean everything again
and move the wiring loom earth,all's good now.
lucky for me a mate had broken a blade and gave me
all the parts to try out.
