i was concerned about clicking on the link as i was expecting nudes of rod.
i dont like the electric vehicles, they jsut dont have the right sound.
though having a look through the whole thread, all i can say is wow thats some awesome fab skills on that rod! [8D]
hope i learn even 1/10th of that in my tafe course :D

Great link mate, there is some "ok" work going on there, I reckon I'd leave it without the bodywork.

cant tell if thats sarcasm or not
to me that looks like awesome work but then again im only learning metal fab and welding :D
i know there is some skillful guys on here that are capable of quality work themself.
agree on leaving it without the body work though [8D]

You gotta go oldskool with Hot Rods... its gotta have that rusty burbly sound to it's engine. Hot Rods have to sound good not just look good, even though our straight 8 Buick is quiet as a mouse :D
Im very much leaning towards Rat Rods these days as they seem more pure and true to the cars.
That guys work is very nice, but I just cant see it having the heart you know.

I dont like it ... some of the work is good but fuck me the "radiator" doesnt need to be built like that, it must be heavy.

I rekon it needs some bodywork to compliment the smooth lines... Other than that, I'm a fan hey!
Front especially does look on the heavy side tho too, bit of a concern when all it has is a small electric motouer!

Sorry mate, couldn't find the sarcasm smiley;)
If you read the story he made the grille heavy to provide some weight over thr front wheels, would be shitloads better with a blown hemi though[:p]
As for rat rods [xx(] if you're gunna build a car then BUILD IT, if it looks like a shitheap then it probably is. Then again I am a spraypainter so I believe all matte black aerosols should be banned[}:)]

I reckon it's fucking awesome workmanship and I'm sure they took the motor into consideration before they designed and built the thing what's he say about 2000 lbs with 800 lb of batteries holy shit the grill is obviously a counterweight to keep the fucken front wheels on the ground

them things are fuggin mad. love the american graffiti style of em tho. matt black can only take ya so far. chop the roof so ya cant get ya head out of it, tops. gissit
Just the suspension work in that electric rod alone is a work of art. All air-ride. Couldn't see a bad weld anywhere. The maker must be very anal to live with.

That eRod looks nice, but would be much better with a V8 even if it was a late model EFI unit. Love the fab skills in it though.
