G'Day!
I'll be landing in WA later this year (2009) with a container full of belongings and space for my bike....

It used to be an '87 Yamaha FZ750, before it was raced in UK Superstock in the 80's. Then bodged to it's present state by myself. Not one item on this bike is standard.

How likely is it to be allowed in to Oz? Do I pretend that it's a standard FZ or try to get it in as a modified bike?

Cheers for any help in advance......

hey mate welcome, DO NOT TELL EM ANYTHING ABOUT THE MODS ,if u have proof of ownership for more than 3-4 yrs u should be ok ,but it must be checked off as that bike as it leaves, and by customs on arrival , to be safe id email w.a. registration office and find out all the details as if u dont do it right u will never be able to register here

Hi Davio,
Thanks for the advice, I've owned the bike for about 15 years, so no probs there. Who checks the bike off, UK customs? I'll start the ball rolling by contacting the Rego Office.
Cheers

have a google about importing bikes into aus

you would get in under a personal import

the application but be completed before the bike gets shipped
