NGK sparkplugs are made of POO, avoid them at all costs (which is difficult because 90% of all bike shops stock them)
Denso, Bosch & Champion all make plugs for the GSXR oilys.

I was using DENSO X27 ETR but I can't seem to find any out my way. Seemed to work heaps better than JR9B's and cheaper I think.

There has been some negative comments on the NGK s produced in China.
I've never had a problem. But I been waiting for a dyno run in a bike shop and have seen a new set of NGK s fail new out of the box on an R1 being serviced.

Hi Guys,
What are the concerns with NGK plugs?
KevK you say that Denso work heaps better than the NGK. What do you mean by this?
NGK J9A are listed as the standard plug for the early GSXR1100.
I think later ones switched to JR9B. The R is just for a supression resistor which is better on your radio reception. I have notice no difference in performance between the two.
I run all standard ignition components and have never noticed a problem under full time race conditions.
Can anyone point to experiences they have had where a change to ignition components has actually netted them more power? Apart from where there is an obvious misfire issue.
I am of the old school and believe that if it isn't broken then don't fix it. Changes to leads, plugs and coils is a dubious past time in many cases.
Cheers

Like i said bloke, I use the J9A and never had a drama and they cheap as shit, as opposed to like 12 -14 bucks a plug,
