Pilots view.
Having an under frame muffler made for the bike, will mount where the centre stand sits at the moment made from the staintune that was mangled when it was crashed.

All the upper fairing was stuffed, the "GIVI TOP BOX[xx(][xx(][xx(]" took heaps of the impact as well. Once passed I will remove the rear fender, GSXR cams, pods and start that under bike muffler thing.

I had forgotten how well these things go until Wednesday night. Took it for a run on the shops trade plate and the rear tyre must have still had some oil residue on it from the crash. 3rd gear at 5000rpm on a left hand corner, I gave her a bit and then we were in a nice Milandri style slide. If only I could do this at will:D

Nice XF ute, dazz. [:p]
Does it have front braided lines?
It looks like you do from the reservoir, but goes to the stockies, near the mudguard.....[?]

Daz.

only the top at the moment but will braid the lot once passed. They are ordered just not here yet.

And the ute is a 99 XH that will be for sale as soon as the bike is rego'd.

So you bought it as a wreck? Seems like a noice project.

But I just can't get to like the newer shape Bandit's. Shame, coz I would like to buy a newer model, looks like it might not be a Bandit... :(

Chances are it was the bullshit Macadams they put on them as stock. Put a decent set of hoops on there and it feels like a whole new bike.

Good to see another crashed Bandit resurected.

To not repair it would be an act of terrorism and/or sacrilege.[^]

RTA inspection went through without a hitch with the following non-ADR parts:

braided top half front brake line
headlights
RS-3 Yoshi pipe and no bung
front indicators

I now have the consent to ride this bike with these components as far as I am concerned. The guy came out, looked at the bike and said "Gee, this is nice".

He took my reciepts for the parts inside, stamped them and came back out and thanked us for our time. 5 minutes from start to finish

REGO TOMORROW!!!!!!!![8D]

Good work mate. I didn't want to say anything when I saw the first few photos but it looks like I didn't need to anyway, you were already on the case.

when i get back from 3 day ride, start on paint, look for some cams, pods and carb work. Might have to track down a dampener as well as she gets a bit 'dancy' above 140-150kph.something to slow the front end down, don't want to pinch the steering head bearings too tight.

If you are still running the stock Macadams, that will be the problem. I found exactly the same thing with the front end being a little loose at speed but once I put some better tyres on I have not felt the need for a damper.

Pinstriped the wheels to pass the rain boredom on Sunday.

Not 100% sold on the look, what do you think?

Pinstripe is a bit different, which isn't really a bad thing in the streetfighter world.

That can needs to be chopped though.

Working on an underbike muffler at the moment made from a cut down staintune.

And i rekon a nice set of upside downies on the front would finish it a treat painted black of course with titanium nitride coating on the stanchions. The swing arm could have an under brace welded on and then painted black.

:)
