Where to buy expanding collet

Ordered some bar end mirrors through ausfr and was putting them on tonight when one of the expanding aluminium collets broke. I have no fucking idea why, it was tightened and loosened a couple of times while getting it all sorted but I thought it would handle that.

I've sent ausfr an email to see if they can order spares but don't expect a reply until next week some time - especially with AFR on. Any ideas for somewhere to buy?

Just go to a bike shop or bike wrecker, they should have something there.

Have to try the wreckers etc next week. Be good to have a spare or two.

Think the problem was that the collets supplied are 17mm and 19mm and my bars are about 18mm id. Must have been too much for the 17mm to expand. Anyway its fixed now, I filed the 19mm ones down to be a nice snug fit

better than the collet is a piece of rubber hose 1"long and just small enough to fit down the bar, and two washers 1 each side of rubber,, slide washer over bolt ,then rubber ,then ,2nd washer ,but bend up a tab on it so it stops the nut turning, piece o cake
