Hey all,

Thought I'd intro myself and my ride.

It used to be a ZX12R before the plastic came off. No real mechanical mods apart from the gutted stock exhaust.

This is probably the last time it'll look like this. In a couple weeks she's going back into the garage for a full rebuild. New colour and art, new exhaust, new front fairing, front fender and a fender deleter at the back. Hoping the budget fits a PC3 and digital guages.

Comments suggestions welcomed else why would I be here ;)

See you around.

Hey Bohemian!

Haha, Who were you? Are you guys going to be back there on friday. I'm bringing my mates around if there is a meet.

Hey Large,

Nah not Mr Bean - thats my hayabusa powered mid engined mini...

Or it would be if I had money and I hadn't just sold her.

I'm currently a student and all my money is going onto my bike.

Pfff... who needs to eat.

Hey Pete, welcome aboard mate, good of you to join us.

Glad to hear your carrying on with the mods mate. Opinions? Ok, from me, I'd say first up, loose the rear guard and indicators (which you already mentioned you were doing) Paint the wheel centres a more interesting colour than the bog standard gold, get a digi dash from someone like Exben and do away with those clocks and fairing and get yourself a smaller front guard.

That might all sound expensive to a student but it ain't. A piece of aluminium and some tools will do the back guard replacement, the wheels you can strip with paint stripper and either polish yourself (see the "how to" section of this site) or get painted while you get the body done. The digi clock will cost a little bit but Ben is knocking them out for around 290 if I remember rightly, and the front guard - get a spare from the wreckers that's the same as yours, then get a copping saw to reshape it and sand it to final design or just get another model all together and find a way to fit it. A simple way being to get/make a fork brace clamp and hang a Bandit/Rf900 guard from it.

Hi Again.
Glad you made it.

Most were from another Forum. They meet there almost every Friday then some go to the Coffee Club at Milton where 2 other Forums meet too.

Was a few ASF Guys there...
I was the long haired Pommie with the Busa who said to post your
pic's up on here.
Bohemion / Rick had the Red Zed 7.5,
LuckyStriker had the Fightered Red R1
Matt, LOUD and tidy Z1000,
CrazyMoFo / Jo on the Yellow SV.

Thanks for the suggestions Gix11 - I was thinking of doing the front guard myself but was - ahem - bit worried about stufing it up but I'll think I'll give it a bash now. Exben is doing digital gauges? Any photos of them lying around the forums? I figure I can flog of my stock guages for more then I can buy replacements. Genuine parts are way over priced...

And to one and all at Fisho's I'll see you tonight. Hopefully I can convince my mates they want to come there instead of (dirty) Harrys.

BTW here some photos of my mini - not currently registered - but she was fun when she was. 1275 -Twin 1 1/4 SU's with a foot long velocity stack - extractors and sports exhaust. 70Hp at the (front) wheel and an intake note louder then the exhaust. Its a bit sad tho - I just sold her to my brother in Perth.
