could this be the ultimate learner bike. i guess as soon as you purchase the bike then it is straight back to sydney to change it back to standard power

"The power output is 30.0kW (40.0hp). Bike can be returned to original power on completion of L and P plate licences (or sooner)."

Or sooner lol.

interesting...

i know that there were a few SV650's on the market that were LAMS approved
they had smaller jets in the carbs etc
and their VIN numbers were on a register somewhere i guess

but i only ever heard of 3...

it makes sense though, everything is EFI now anyways

Why?

Suzuki are selling SV650's and GSX650F's with low power UCU's in them right now as LAMS...

Seems a shame to buy a big heavy bike that's had it's nads cut off! I'd prefer a VTR250 with a filter/pipe/jetting and let it SING!

Why?
Because, if it's true, then you can ride a GSXR600 on your L's and P's.
If the cops pull you over, they check and rego papers say it's LAMS approved. They can't tell if it's been
de-restricted and put back to full power or not.

I woudn't mind betting that because you have to take it back to the same mob to derestrict it they take it off the register and the coppers could find out if they searched...

But then if you took it somewhere else and fitted a PC3 to it then who would be the wiser ;)

I don't know if it works that way..
The hyosung 650's (along with the duc monster 620's)that are restricted are registered as learner legal models. They are designed to be able to be derestricted once the rider is on a full licence( so people can keep the same bike for longer). The rego papers still say that it's a learner legal model.

I don't see why the GSXR would be any different.
