View Full Version : R1 and R6 brake calipers

Due to my <s>stupidity</s> ignorance I have bought the wrong set of calipers...[:I]
I didn't realise that for some weird reason 05 R6's have 90mm centres whereas most other R1/6's use 100mm (fits XJR's too) :(

Soooo I have an 04 pair for sale...and need an 05 pair :(

Sharky,

Will talk to lil bro over the weekend. He's got one set of each but I dunno which one he needs. Maybe he'll swap ya if he can use them. He got them to go onto his 95 YZF600 with the RWU forks.

I have a left hand front R1 caliper if you find a right hand one on its own.

It now looks like I wasn't sooo stoopid.
The forks had been listed as 03/04 model, as were the calipers (seperate evilbay sellers).
The calipers are correct, 04 model are 100mm centres...its the legs that are not 03/04.
I have also now seen both normal and radials listed as 05's.
I have told the seller this and amended my paypal complaint against him accordingly...Advertised as 'MINT CONDITION, NO LEAKS'...haa...leaky seals,scuffs on legs and scratches on chrome above lower clamp :(

Tony, What centres are the holes ? I need normal calipers not radials.

It is 100mm hole ctrs, non radial caliper.

Fz6's had 90mm centres...just trying to identify them now.

Obviously 'MINT' condition :(

No good with lil bro... Both sets of calipers have 100mm mount centres.

Not a prob mate...the legs turned out to be zx6r !!! In 'negotiations' with the seller.:(

Lil bro is using a set of those legs to upgrade a Z650.
