Kamakazebusa: did u work for GCC or anyone in that line of work at any stage,,,,if so , do u do private work on the side.?????

I work for myself, I own RaceComp www.racecomp.com.au I was heavily into bike stuff for a while and I still do a bit of carbon stuff, the odd turbo kit for Triumph’s. My main work keeps me far to busy to do bike parts at the moment.
I can now try to enjoy my bikes again instead of just making them.

Just so you know, RaceComp only use pre-preg carbon and autoclave cure the parts at 90 psi @ 110 deg C. I’m not aware of any other carbon parts manufacturer in the motor cycle industry in Australia that uses this process including the one that you mentioned.

Would you like to see some more of my artwork in large format?

Hey Devo,

I’d love to race a triple, can you use the good stuff like Ohlins? The standard Triumph forks are crap….. Definitely up for a track day at the creek before the year is out mate.:):):)

fimpBIKES: Thanks for that mate, I love the view from the naked bike. [}:)][}:)]

Hey Racecomp interesting you should post this stuff as i'm discussing undertank intercoolers (and other intercoolers) on another forum . Have you measured temp across your core and how it changes city cycle vs open road.

Btw 2 guys i rideday with often have some of your 749r fairings , very tidy ;)

Nice Rides RaceComp, nearly bought a Triple but the Horsepower of the Busa called!!!

Like Booster I am intersted in your Plenums as well, an alternative to the usual alloys.

What Boost do you run through these?

Thanks geesexar :D:D:D

Re: RaceComp carbon plenum chambers.

RaceComp uses 6psi of boost with stock compression on our Triumph turbo kits.
I use part of an intercooler inside of the plenum chamber to act as a smoother/diffuser. Without the diffuser the low boost motor would spike quite nastily, carbon is a great product to build plenum chambers and top hats with because it doesn’t heat sink like aluminium. This is a must for street riding, stoping in traffic can be a problem with alloy under tank intercoolers.

Steve, i have talked to you before about Hayabusa plenums in CF but decided to continue with alloy as i could do it myself but not looking anywhere near as good as what you produce.
