New to the madness and just wanted to say hi and show you my project bike.
After 10 years without a bike,I bought a 1992 Yamaha FJ 1200.
Probably an unusually streetfighter bike.
So far all I have spend on it is cans of degreaser and spray cans of paint.The bike itself was $1200 from a bike dealer.
What do you think?

looks good but the first thing i would attack is the dash but thats just my 2 cents mate i would swap it for an acewell unit or a koso maybe

I like the look of that. I can see some great potential there. Basic shape is good.Lose the dash, chop the arse.........Might grab myself one of those and build a fat arse bobber rat. Sorry, had it half built in my head there. Welcome to the madness mate.

im impressed i nevr thought id look at a fj and say mmm that looks ok ,no it looks good, well done sir, with the banditman gauges must go ,and welcome and post more pics ;)

The cans are home made.Original ones had a dent in the middle.A quick chop with a drop saw,a plate and pipe to close the hole,a spray of high temp paint,jobs done.
And now you can hear it coming.

Thanks Sharky.This is what I'm trying to do at the moment.Have to weld up a new subframe so could take a while.

I got a bit carried away with the chain oil.I'll have to make a chain guard. Make's it more interesting around the corner's.
