On the way home from work today my recently aquired ute decided it was the one in control and started to rev it's tits off. I thought the throttle was jammed open but when I got it home and had a look it apears that the carby linkage works ok, but it still wants to rev. Any sugestions?

Yeah, prolly best to take the air intake off and have a look down the carby :)

I took the air cleaner off when I got home and operated the throttle by hand, I can't see anything out of the ordinary. It appears to close, but as soon as I start the engine it revs again

All fixed!

Was the age old problem of 'shit in the carby'. Looked like a bit of the rubber seal that sits between the carby and aircleaner, it had lodge itself between one of the butterflies.
