up in Townsville we are nice and dry.
been underwater for weeks on end but have dryed out nicly now. Cyclone went to the east of us, all we got was light rain and heavy winds :-)

all sunshine n loly pops here lol.
i live on the beach n people were getting evacuated on sat arvo, my area is in a flood zone and there was a storm surge warning.
i was out when they were told, came home smashed am passed out and only found out the next day lol.

i had a feeling it was goin to come back , i thought it would have been a lot sooner.
least it will only bring rain not total demolition like it it would have.
kids started to freak after i showed em pics of 1974 tracy in darwin.

all is well, most of the town has become quite relaxed after so many misses,
heck i think it was TC Charlie and Joy we use to head out surfing just to catch
a decent wave , when that wasnt enough we hit the road with a skateboard and umbrella.
after being in the thick of a few cyclones up the coast(was a pro fisherman)over the years
you soon gain a bit of respect for what they can do, now i got a family they come first.
