anyone got any ideas on sourcing a pair of strap/mounts for a custom exhaust? I've seen a couple on eBay UK, and they are basically just a universal metal strap with a thin rubber coating on the inside, and a bracket to fasten it to the pillion peg mount.

Here's a pic of what I want.. except I don't really want to order it from eBay as I need it asap.. and I think the cans might be a little too big for the universal strap.

Rubber? Against an exhaust? Do you like the smell of burning rubber?

bunnings do pipe clamps that plumbers use to mount shitter pipes. I think they go up to 4 or 5 inch dia

only about 3$ a pair

Just buy some aluminum for the hardware store and make you own.

A lot of aftermarket pipes come with brackets with rubber lining. Not sure, but it must be a heat resistant grade of rubber...?

Whatever you do dont order those clamps from egay. I have seen what happens to them after a short time the rubber hardens and cracks with bits falling off around the edges and the straps themselves crack where they are bent just before the mounting holes they are just cheap pieces of crap
