My latest project is painted and ready to fit (once it's dry enough etc)
Big thanks to Krash for organising and chasing up the paint.

The entire tail unit is only 2700g including the undertray, battery holder etc. Bolt on a 350g seat and I've got a 3kg tail unit that replaces well over 10Kg worth of stuff.

Can't wait to fit it and try it out.

Bring on the AFR [:p]

That looks superb, is it self supporting or are you still using a subframe?

Thanks, the fuel tank is also CF and has the same paint on it so now they match.

Yes the tail is all self supporting etc so there is no subframe.

The CF is still visible as the paint is a large blue pearl in clear over the CF.

LOL on the fuel. I do normally fill it. It's actually a 22L tank so it's a bit bigger than stock. It does have some fancy foam and baffles in it so the fuel doesn't move around, makes a hugh difference.

I'm optimistic this mod with a few others I've been working on will get the total bike weight under 160Kg including fuel.

I'll be interested to see what sort of power it's making if there's a dyno at the AFR.

Thanks mate, your advice and encourangement went a long way at times where I thought I'd bitten off more than I could chew LOL.

I've been so stressed it wouldn't work or be ready for the AFR. I sold the other tail to pay for some of this project and cut a significant bit of the frame off to do it so it wasn't going to be an easy thing to reverse.
