Hey Guys,

Well im all set for AFR 09 i will be there, i missed last year due to the birth of my son and lauch of my air ride systems in the USA.

Im Matt from MBP Motorcycle Air Ride Suspension Systems, Sydney based motorcycle air ride suspension designer and manufacturer. I had a blinged out ZX7R with my MBP air ride, but i will be bringing the MBP Hayabusa, just had the paint finished and have some chrome to put on it and finish installing the stereo, MP3,FM, waterproof speakers built inside the chrome mirrors, AMP and the 6" sub built into the single seat hump, and of course a MBP Twin chamber (able to set height, rebound, stiffness of the shock by flick of a switch)rear air ride 5" lower in the back when lowered, also have a Boz Bros 4 into 1 megaphone exhaust on it, fairing spikes. Maybe a little different to the modified busas you see here.

Will have the MBP front air ride and fat rear tyre for AFR 10.

I do hang out at a few of the USA Hayabusa websites mainly, one of which i sponsor, but i will be spending more time here.

Hope to catch up with you guys there.

Cheers,

Matt

Wow!! Im suprised u havent copped more shit for havin a bike wif a stereo!!

Trailer queen or duz it actually get ridden??? Sounds interestin either way. Will hav 2 check it out

MBP

The stereo is hidden, no exposed speakers the only way that you would know it had a stereo is if you look under the pillion seat or heard it, all controlled via remote control. Ive always wanted to have tunes while i rode hence the install and its a little different, there's not many bikes in Oz with stereos.

No trailer queen here, yea it gets ridden, I mainly ride with MRZXR with the Turbo ZXR750/900 on here.

Cheers,

Matt

Don't worry Matt there will be plenty of faired bikes at AFR so you shouldn't get picked on too much.:D

My busa is pretty heavily influenced by the US custom scene and a few of my own ideas, and while its not a style for everyone i hope i can bring something a little different to AFR.

I was really hoping to have the 240 kit made but just ran out of time.

Cheers,

Matt

If your bike gets its arse kicked by a standard
version of the same, what's the point ?
Impress old ladies, small boys and numb nuts who cant ride ?
Its just another Harley with shorter forks.

Stunts, Drags, Wheelies, Hooning through the hill's, all good.
Wobbling about with a 360 tyre and chrome....just sad.
Seppo Busa's have more to do with Easyrider than Streetfighters.

It's not a Streetfighter if it wont put up a fight.

I know where you are coming from, i have raced bikes and the last thing i want to have is a bike that dosent handle or lose performance, i built my busa to my style and so that i can ride as i usually would, yea it has fairings and some chrome part.

Stunting and wheelies aren't really my thing but drags and hooning through the hills is what i enjoy hence the 240 kit that is going to go on with a 4 to 6 inch extension, which is my preference.

The US busa's with the 300, 330, 360 rear tyres is a familar US style (there are a lot of 300 and 330 kits here in Oz already), just like the UK / Europe and US streetfighters have there own style which differs to us here in Oz.

Cheers,

Matt

Yea ive ridden a 300 8inch over and 240 6inch over and a standard 190 6inch over. The 300 yea you notice the difference.

Im looking at an adjustable swingarm between 4 to 6 inches (4 inches is the shortest you can go before you get clearance issues) adjust to 6 inch for the drags. 240 with a short stretch you do not know the difference, its actually like riding with a shinko 003 rear tyre.
The only downfall is the 240 tyres dont have the trackion of a 190 so i may even look at a 190 wheel spaced in the 240 arm for the drags, like ben does for the judge.
