Just picked up a gastly looking Virago for the wife, it has some oxidation on the cases what is the best way to restore them. or should I simply order some crome ones or get the old ones anodised ? Cheapest option first as usual.

Its fucking hideous, it's pink too, its parked in the shed next to a GSXR1000, GSXR600 and a ZXR250, it looks a little out of place. Once she gets her black licence this thing will get the arse quickly, the more I see it the more I hate it, but I just cant handle seeing the oxidation on the cases makes it look even worse, maybe she'll want to paint them pink too...............I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Go down to your local boat hardware store and get a bottle of alubrite, paint it on, wash it off, easy, no rubbing.

the auto paint shop jn gunnedah has got auto paint stripper paint on wash off stuff. i found it worked a treat. they've also got josco polishing stuff. if you got a compressor and die grinder it makes short work of it all too.
