Build cost starts from AU$78,000. It'd be nice to be able to slot one of these motors into a fightered blade or kwaka..

I think the exchange rate is a bit off. Someone should tell them the aussie dollar is buying 75-80us cents these days. Not 50 cents like five years ago. I think alot of Australian performance parts importers conveniently forget this fact as well.

Thanks for letting me vent. I am off to take a lie down.

Yeah they were around when the Aussie bike industry was looking like going somewhere. There was the Drysdale ,Hunwick Hallam had some prototypes and the awesome looking Flood 'Prowler'. All came to nothing really. They are relegated to being boutique low production number bikes. Aussie capatalists dont seem interested in supporting Aussie engineering.

Would you pay $78,000AUD for an Aussie made bike that sells for $37,000 US ?

I realise its an old article. I was just making a point.(however irrelevant)

i still like the idea of the drysdale

if a wreck that only had the frame and engine left over (like in the same condition as my tiller when i bought it) ever becomes available i would seriously have to think about it
