The seat is going to the upholsterer tomorrow to have the front half cut way down.
She is already lowered 3" but as i have had to park the dragbike indefinately she is now going to race again, so i don't want to be sliding off the back. [:I]
She has an 1100 top end with a dead set sick head job thanks to one of my mechanics at work.[:p]
Also jetted to the max with nice little airbox mod, oh & of course we had to chop the can:D
She goes way better than a 1978 model GS1000 should & has really surprised a few pups on late model shit[8D][8D]

Love it Papa.....A REAL muscle bike....had an old XS1100 myself. Same sort of thing ..sorted the handling and used to go chasing race reps on the roads to Box Hill (popular bike gathering area on Sundays in UK). Local roads knowledge was a great thing..:D

i like these old bikes ...
in 2003 i had also an 1978 GS1000 and can`t leave my hands from...
i get it in an desatered condition for 200€ (330 ausd)but the base was ok..
first the engine gets an 1180 big bore kid, 34 flad sides from the suzuki gsx750r + k&n air flows,dyna 2000 ignition and an devil 4/1 race exhaust from an `92 11 gsxr
it takes on a dyna tester 119 hp at the rear wheel
becomes an hand made alu gas tank styled bei BRUNE, an BIG BIKE rear seat whit an self made seat plate, KONI buffer (1,5" longer),
foot peg ground from an 92 suzuki gsxr, self made upper triple whith self made handlebar holders, and an gas mask front end... and much more...

The problem with the dragbike is that i bought a shitbox Kawasaki
:(:(
Seriously though I am honestly not sure what the problem is now, at first i thought it was the air shifter but then it blew the clutch
& then the box lunched itself, so after complete new clutch & whole new box i thought all was good.
Unfortunately not, took it out yesterday & it still won't change past second, ie; won't go into third & when it did it obviously wasn't in properly cos it jumped back out
so i'm back to thinking it's a dodgy bloody airshifter that only works properly when it wants to, so i'm gonna pull it out & throw it to the shithouse & start from scratch.
After i pull the engine out yet again to make sure there's no damage done to the new 'box that is, so i'm not going anywhere near it right now incase i get tempted to burn the bloody thing[}:)]

Nah, not all of it Davo, just the hot spots.
The rest is in mat black acrylic except for the frame which is Kill Rust epoxy.
No Fimp i don't think it could be any blacker, but i like it that way.
