Hey guys, I'm looking for some help with advertising the AFR. If you could spare some ink and a few minutes to hit up shop owners etc to put a up a flyer for me it would really help. You guys are all over the country so it will be a wide spread thing. I have made the latest advert from Rapid Bikes into a printable poster and attached it here:

You may or may not know this but we have no major sponsors (like most big events have) and every last cent is coming out of my pocket (apart from Shannons who are donating some trophies for the Show and Shine and some staff to man it). Ticket sales are the only income we will have and with everyone (and I do mean EVERYONE) thinking we now have some big money after last year's event and doubling prices for everything we need I am currently needing to cover $50k and rising everyday. I'm prepared for the worst and have realised it's my mortagage on the line so I'm just asking for some help to try and get people in the gate.

I didn't want to have to disclose that last part but I really don't want it to fall flat, not just for the sake of my mortgage (that's my fault for taking the risk), but for the fact if I can't at least "break even" this time then the bank won't let me do it again and I doubt there's anyone who wants to step in my shoes, but most of all I really want to keep this event alive and be what it deserves to be. I have faith in the event this year, the word on the street, and the help I am getting from ASF members / stunt riders / bike shops is awesome, so I'm feeing positive about it all (even if this read wrong - I am very tired.....) - But every little bit of help counts!

So if you want to help this event out just print one or two out and hit your local servos, bike haunts or pubs and spread the word.

Cheers guys.

You have limited your market a little with the advertising on this one.
I was well prepared to put a bunch of posters up around a couple of delivery centres here in Sydney (100 odd bike riding posties) but unfortunately due to the naked chick they would last about five minutes before they were removed and I received my arse-kicking. Add that to the "Pussywhipped Pass" and things aren't looking good for the fairer sex, attendance-wise...

There's some lame people out there if they get offended by that. I doubt if they'd be interested in what we are doing anyway!? Never the less see if this one is any better....

Cheers again guys.

brilliant idea, I am finding myself telling every one about it. when i got to the alloy welders this morning there was a honda firestorm in the drive which the welder owned, he hadnt heard of the event but said that he is definatly keen to go. gave him a flyer and he said he was gonna tell his mates. Networking, Gotta luv it
