Thanks guys,
Mostly a farmer thing, joined at 16 like a lot of locals do , get the training and help out at local fires and hope others help when there is a fire at home (had 2 in the last 10 yrs) do some additional training , its offered several times a year and quite interesting ..
Then when there is a big problem like in the last few weeks you help when you can, many have work commitments and can't take the time but i'm in a quiet time on the farm and can give a day or two .
If anyone has wondered if they would like to have a go at CFA or SES, check out your local and attend an information day or nite
