gsxr 11 shock

hi,griff here,i have a gsxr 1100 m streetfighter,and just realised that my rear shock is knackered,i have the chance to get a gsxr 1000 shock ,was wondering has anyone fitted a gsxr 1000 shock to a std 91 gsxr 11 m swingarm..as far as i know there is a reservoir stuck to the top of the shock on the gwsxr 1000 shock and i could have clearance issues..just wondering does any other shock fit the bike.......thanks in advance for any info.........

Gunna have pretty serious clearance issues mate. prolly a bit too long too so would have to root around with dogbones as well to get ya ride height. no idea what shock would be easier tho sorry. grab another 11 or get urs rebuilt ?

Have a search on OldSkoolSuzuki. They used to have a shock length listing which will probably give you the answer.

88-95 1100 shock is 312mm
01-02 1000 shock is 329.5mm
03-04 1000 shock is 332.5mm
