Nearly all sorted...just needs a bit of wiring, mount the muffler and a new (black) seat.
It may look just plain satin black....but there's more to it than meets the eye....

Must say here as well a HUGE THANK YOU to PommyChopper...
Did me proud with his tank work...mating a pair of hiddly diddly tanks with the centre section of the xjr tank. Made it a one piece unit.

loving the tank, whats the capacity on that sucker now?

the only gripe is the gap between the tank and seat. looks like there is a nut crunching bar in there, though probably not so bad as its not exactly a sporty seating position.

bluemk1...Tank is 18litres. started as 5US gallon fatbobs (4 uk gallons/18L)
Had to chop lots out to make 'em fit..by making it one piece all the area between the 2 is now fuel capacity.

Had an early knock off today so I have been in the garage....Fits a treat.

This conversion allows me to use a spin on R1 filter instead of the messy stock cartridge type.
Yet another big thanks to Clint's Machining Services....more beer I owe ya ;)

Good news...got it started up today...filled the garage with smoke from the newly painted motor.[xx(]
Fuel tank is now fixed...had a slight leak..just gotta make a seat..
