Same all over the world mate, but everytime a new one comes out they worry, then it just becomes the norm, so no problem.

The current bike test has a section of off road training, its called CBT ;)

I do`nt think its that big a deal myself, apart from the smaller number of test centres making it quite a distance to travel as a learner.

If people are committed they`ll do it anyway :)

Yupp - a license is a privellage not a right. It sorts out the people who really want to do it. By the sounds of it 125cc licenses are still easy to get.

Yeah..sorts out the whingers from the doers ;)

We still have the "Direct access" test for people over 21 years of age, whereby they take their test on a 500cc bike and can then ride any capacity bike they like. Dead rookies fast !
