Been a while since I've updated the build thread. Stupidly busy at work and home but things hopefully getting back to normal soon. The last of the goodies is off to the powder coater tomorrow (if I can get out of work for an hour [xx(]) and then its reassembly time.

In the meantime I got my triples done. That was a job and a half... but worth the effort. I like em nice and chunky like me wimen ;) They'll be polished and powder coated gloss black.

Also took all the anodising off the forks. I'm leaving them a brushed finish. There is going to be very little proper bling on this machine. I just have to get a clear coat on them to stop em oxidising.

By the end of this month., early march I'll have a roller again.

Sad thing is - no bike for fools run, unless you count the dirt bike. Si, here's my official offer to be your bitch for the weekend. Whatever you need I'll do - as long as I can still get pissed and talk bullshit at night :D

Ta guys, I'm blushing now;). Cost? About $120 bucks worth of material (got the alloy at scrap price - Sharky you are a champ :D) and a couple solid days work in them so basically just my time. Oh and the time of a couple other guys at work.

Used a cnc mill but without any of the proper software. Mate and I basically had to use the CNC mill in manual mode. Palmed them off to a workshop manager and he finished them off, drilled and tapped the holes, slotted the bores etc.

I can definitely appreciate the value in getting someone to fab custom ones now, All up I'd say there was 20 hours of work in the pair.

Mind you if I had the proper software, what took me all day would have taken a couple hours instead.

I'm so jealous of you guys that have the skills and equipment to do shit like that. It makes the differnce between assembling a bike and making one.

I agree with Ivan to, powdercoating would be a travesty. How about black anodising?

Yeah not sure about the powder coating but having chromey bling on my bike isn't what i am after either. I'm even thinking shadow chrome at this stage.

Hey large - gotta say the triples ben did for you were inspiration for these.

Nice work Pete. As for being my bitch for the weekend, I'll pass on that but I'm sure I can give you another job if you're up for it.
