So what sort of jackets do you lot up in Brissy wear ? Leathers are fine but in the full heat of summer ?? Dririder ? Spyke ? Joe Rocket ? .....I'm looking at spending $300 ish and just want some ideas...

Hey Sharky,
Pretty much any of the flow through jackets are ok but in my opinion if you want value for money
you can't go past RJAYS. We sell heaps of them here at work & not a single complaint.
Not only that but all my gear, ie; race leathers, winter jacket & summer jacket are all RJAYS & i am really happy with them all

i wear mostly rjays stuff and a few blokes i ride with do too. my gloves have held up REALLY well through rain and dirt and gravel. my leather jacket wasn't the best and i had to get it sewn up in a few spots but its still ok now. everyone else i know who has rjays stuff has been quite happy. if you want cheap stuff that wont fall apart then its the go. and yeah i only have a leather jacket so in summer its either get hot or squid:)

PS i know a guy who has a camo draggins jacket and it was quite big and heavy. not sure it would be that cool in summer. never know though!

Thanks guys. I've had a look and both Rjays and Dririder do a good 'un. Now to see if there cheaper at the expo. I was concerned about the draggin jacket as the jeans can get warm with all the kevlar lining.

I've found 2006 Joe Rocket Riot on ebay usa...looks like a motocross armour thing....plenty of armour but surely the mesh would give up in a slide down the road ?

it shouldnt be sliding on the mesh

as long as the armour stays in place you should be fine
but it is the same arguement for any mesh jacket VS leather

in theory they are great, but im not willing to test it out...

Got my leather from the UK I use for most of the year around Brissy.
If it gets too hot, I have a new Dri-Rider mesh with the waterproof
liner pulled out and put under the seat hump.
