Hey, if your ticket has the licence number recorded incorrectly and the officer did not sign the ticket is this a technical loop hole ?

yes, you should be able to get out of it.

Google speeding tickets and you'll get lots of different opinions.

I doubt the wrong licence number will save you if he got the rest of your details right.

Not signing it might make it incomplete/invalid.

In QLD its ur responsibility to go down to the police station to get it adjusted. If you do this, the officer will get repremanded in performance report, so make sure you do this.

I just sent an email to Speeding Fines Consultants, I'll let you know what happens.

The other thing that is a little dubious is the fact that a 4WD actually over took a car between the patrol car and me. He reckons he clocked me then the 4WD broke the beam. I find it hard to see him getting an acurate reading if he is in a line of traffic, has a 4WD in front of him, has a 4WD in front of him increasing speed while over taking, and was actually some 400 - 500mtrs away when he reckons he actually detected me, smells like shit to me but I'll see what the professionals have to say.

Be wary of the dodgy cunts that want $69 for a book on how to beat fines

I saw they done a thing on Current Affairs, advertising with those tools was not a good character reference but I'll see what they have to say, I'll have a chat to my solicitor tomorrow and see what she reckons.

So let me get this right ?....

Another vehicle came between the cop and you breaking the beam?
He filled in the incorrect license number?
The cop did`nt sign the speeding ticket ?

I wouldnt be taking that on the chin mate, no way.

Get some specialist advice, do`nt take it if you don`t have to ;)

Tell you, my lady had a speeding ticket through the post about 3 years ago.
We took 18 months of hard fight including 4 court appearances, rheams of letters and agro !!!

We won, they lost, got it kicked outa court. Why ? Because we decided to fight it :D

UK cops will blag a ticket if they can even with dodgy evidence.

Decided to take it to court, with some help from Speeding Fine Consultants, I'll keep you guys updated on how it turns out and what the procedure is. The guys at SFC basically laughed at the fact that they even tried to fine me, (but then again he makes nothing if he says I'm up shitters ditch too). Posted the letter on Wednesday so first thing will be to see how long it takes to actually get a reply. SFC recommend that you cart a copy of the letter on the back of fine requesting a court case around with you because if you get pulled over and they run a check it will show you have outstanding fines and you could get further in the shit.

If you have unpaid fines they go to debt collectors and your license is suspended till you pay (in NSW anyway) I never got the fine in the mail once so I didn't pay because I didn't know about it, I went to renew my license and that was when they told me it had been suspended for the last month.

same here in WA, i was talking to the local justice of the peace about a parking fine and the JP told me he had his licence suspended over a parking fine not paid!! they dont even have to post you a letter of warning, imagine the shit you would get in if you had an accident and didnt know??
