Decided on a ride on Wednesday, while I'm still on holiday.
Left the beaches at 5.00am through city, national park and then up Macquarie Pass and on to Bundanoon for a bacon & egg roll.

Tumut has 6 pubs so I had a beer or three in each and thought I'd better stay the night.Next morning the Snowy Mountain Highway beckoned, off again.Blowering Dam above Talbingo.

What a fucking great road, nothing on it,heaps of fun corners except for a couple of scares on the gravelly new bits.Kiandra...middle of nowhere with the Eucumbene River behind me and I didn't pack the fly rod in my haste to hit the road.

Roads are pretty boring now, mostly straight and my knees and back are getting pretty fucked.Lake George seemed like a good spot for a stretch before back to Goulburn for gas.

Cuppa tea and fuel while wondering what the fuck this is all about!
Back to Sydney after this, hit major traffic from about Bowral all the way back to Manly then had to explain to wife and kids where I'd been...oops!Nah,they were cool and the old bike didn't miss a beat.No mean feat considering the lack of love I heap on it.

All up 1106 km,not a bad ride.

Yeah, cheers guys, this sort of thing could get really addictive!
Kiandra through Adaminaby to the Alpine Hwy junction just before Cooma is as good as it gets in my opinion.Fast (for me anyway) sweepers for miles, just brilliant!
More power on the straighter bits would've nice as the average hoon car was passing me fairly often but the old 748cc in the bendy bits was enough to scare me on more than one occasion[:I].Mortality has set in;).
Can't wait to do this again though..."Hey babe, what's on next weekend?[}:)]
Ouch.

^^^^^
Mebbe...old girl started to cough a bit at about 180 and those new commodores and the like seem to have no problem sitting on 200+.
Pretty bloody windy at those speeds too.
I'm happy to leave the car beating to the fast guys, of which I can't be included[:I]
