Another question for those of you who have been there before.

In QLD, what is the go with swapping motors in a bike and keeping its current rego?

I am thinking about putting a ZZR1100 motor in my '89 ZX10 as they pretty much bolt in.

Or I could just forget all the hassle and get myself a newer bike to play with for about the same money.

Less than a 15% increase in size does not require an NCOP certificate(the things that are replacing Engineers Certificates nation wide now) . But , like any engine swap , you have to get the vehicle re-inspected at a Blue Slip place(in NSW it also requires an RTA inspection too) . Pretty straight forward but make sure the bike is legal before doing it.
