I am having a debate with myself at the moment as to decide if I am going to keep my current bike and fighter it.

The only thing holding me back is the gearbox in it.

The bike is a 1989 kawasaki ZX10. its got 95,000km on the clock. Its all fine now, but if I put my new exhaust on and filters and jet kit, I think I might be pushing the gearbox a bit as its getting old.

Just wondering if anyone would know a rough price to get a gearbox rebuilt?

Also where would I take it? Just back to kawasaki or to a bike workshop somewhere?

Cheers,
Chris.

Try to get hold of Kerry Ellis in Bundy. He used to have Bundaberg bike Wreckers. Should be able to sort you out. Taking it back to Kawasaki will cost a fortune and they will only rebuild it stock, if they will do the job at all. Failing that, go have a talk to QBR at Lawnton or give them a bell. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
