Guys i want to do a bit of work on my tank before I drop it off at a sprayers for painting. Are their any rattle can primers that I can use after I've sanded back to metal that will work with whatever paints the sprayers will be using?

Actually whilst I'm at it, I want to extend my tank similar to how CBRRRT has done his ie:

Now should I explore a different route to him Ie getting someone to weld the extra fins on or should the fibreglass/bondo hold ok enough?

if you sand back to the metal use an etch primer as thatll stick best to the metal surface. then you also need to consider what kind of paintjob your going to paint it. if your doing an acrylic paintjob, rattle can primer will be fine. if your doing 2 pak your gonna have to get it professionally primed or get yourself a compressor, spray gun and 2 pak primer and prime yourself that way. you cannot paint 2 pak over acrylic because acrylic is a lot softer than 2 pak
