Well this weekend was the last ride on a fully faired ZXR. Went for a little trip up to QLD and now know another reason for going Streetfighter. Leaning over to grab hold of those low clip-ons for many hours, I'm sore as shit [xx(] (bring on the Risers and Fat Bars)

I am in the process of advertising all the bits I don't need to start some funds rolling for the build. Full set of fairings, headlights and assembly and instruments. I didn't think this sight would be the appropriate place to sell these, but if any of you know anyone needing them (93 ZXR), let me know.

I have started up a bit of a shopping list to get me back on the road "Naked". I'll post up some pics of the bits and pieces I'm looking at. My hardest decision at the moment is what dash to go for. Acewell digital or Koso GP Style [?][?] If anyone has either, some advice would be great.

Anyhow, I'll keep you all posted with the progress.

Cheers, Jed

i am about to do the same build to my zx6r for the same reason as you and the fact that i bought my bike with damage fairings. Just waiting for the wifes car to come back from the crash repair so i can start.

Stuff i have already got:
- top triple plate from Ausfr for fatbars
- twin headlight black from Ausfr
- cnc bracket for lights from maximoto in Adelaide

Once all that is on it will be going to sa dirtbikes to get all the cables made if it needs them.

the speedo is going to remain the same but i may need to fabricate a bracket to bring it in a bit closer.

I will make a belly pan out of the old fairings because they are not damage at the base!

the only thing i am not sure about is what to do with the little breather hoses that come out the frame and mount under the headlight unit. so if anyone has any ideas or tell me what they did it would be much apreciated!

I will post some pics of the build once i start!(hopefully this weekend)

Well done mate it looks like you have a plan. I have an acewell 2856 and it dose everything i need. It came with a mounting bracket and was a peace of piss to wire. Just grab a wiring diagram and your set.Good luck and keep the pics coming. ;)
